Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K–12 students as a dedicated Occupational Therapist in Ingham County. Two positions are available: one full-time and one part-time, both beginning in September. Placement will be within the county, serving students across a variety of schools. Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license for Michigan is required
- Prior experience in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Ability to manage and organize caseloads across elementary, middle, and high school students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, families, and special education teams
- Flexible and adaptive mindset to serve diverse student needs across different school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services and interventions for K–12 students with a range of needs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to support classroom modifications and student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and adapt service delivery for new placements within Ingham County
