Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing Occupational Therapy services for K-Transition students. This role, based in the North Lakewood area, extends from September 2, 2026, through June 15, 2027. Make a meaningful impact by supporting students’ development and collaborating with educational teams while gaining valuable experience across all facets of school-based OT.

Key Qualifications & Preferred Background:

  • Valid (or eligible) Washington State ESA certificate as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience in school-based OT or pediatric settings is highly valued
  • Familiarity with implicit bias, anti-racist, and culturally responsive teaching practices
  • Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and multi-tiered systems of support (Tier 1, 2, and 3)
  • In-depth knowledge of child development, learning styles, and special education laws
  • Willingness to engage in, or current training on, restraint and aversive interventions
  • Commitment to supporting racial equity and culturally informed instruction

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services for a diverse K-Transition caseload in alignment with students’ IEPs and best practices
  • Actively collaborate in planning, implementing, and enhancing OT programming and interventions
  • Contribute to the multidisciplinary team to advance the school’s commitment to whole-child social, emotional, and behavioral supports
  • Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations concerning special education and student confidentiality
  • Participate in ongoing professional learning focused on trauma-informed care and equity-driven instruction
