Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the financial operations of a large organization. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), performing advanced data analysis and reporting in Excel, and supporting continuous process improvements. The Senior Accountant will also have opportunities to assist with ERP system implementations and provide mentorship to junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and accounting records.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions to support reporting, analysis, and reconciliations.
  • Assist with ERP and accounting system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and operational issues.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting team members.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong tenure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with ERP implementations or system conversions.
  • Previous experience mentoring, training, or leading junior accountants.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
Salary Range
  • $90-100K
