With a strong backlog of work, an expanding client base, and a small, collaborative team, the firm offers the rare opportunity to gain significant responsibility early in your career while working alongside experienced engineers on a diverse range of residential projects.

This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer who wants to accelerate their growth, take ownership of projects, and become a key contributor in a fast-growing environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a Structural Engineer with experience in wood-framed residential construction who is excited about solving complex structural challenges and developing deep expertise in timber and wood design.
You'll work closely with senior engineers, architects, builders, and homeowners on custom homes, multifamily developments, remodels, and additions. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on engineering work, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is eager to grow their career with a firm that has substantial project demand and long-term advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze wood-framed residential structures.
  • Prepare structural calculations, engineering reports, and construction documents.
  • Develop efficient and code-compliant structural solutions for wood and timber systems.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Participate in project meetings and site visits.
  • Assist with plan review comments and construction administration support.
  • Contribute to maintaining high-quality engineering standards across projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 2+ years of structural engineering experience.
  • Experience working on residential projects, preferably wood-framed structures.
  • Strong understanding of wood and timber design principles.
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and construction practices.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
  • EIT certification preferred; PE track strongly encouraged.
  • Strong communication skills and desire to work in a highly collaborative environment.
If you're passionate about residential structural engineering and want to build your expertise in wood and timber design while growing with a rapidly expanding firm, we'd love to connect.
