Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a Home Infusion Pharmacist position in Norristown, PA, offering a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM for a duration of 8+ weeks. This role is ideal for pharmacists with expertise in sterile compounding and a commitment to patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare customized sterile medications, including IV fluids, using strict aseptic techniques
- Verify sterile preparations to meet safety and accuracy standards
- Ensure compliance with USP and USP chapter standards related to sterile compounding
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and workflow in a low volume environment (1 tech)
- Maintain and monitor cleanroom equipment and environment
- Conduct final inspections of sterile products before dispensing
Qualifications:
- Active and clear Pennsylvania pharmacist license
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in sterile compounding
- Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems and technology
