Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Position Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Position Overview
Medix is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Technician to support manufacturing operations at our client's Irvine, CA facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring production equipment, tools, and materials are properly cleaned, sanitized, and sterilized to meet the strict quality standards required in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment. They specializes in advanced orthobiologic solutions designed to support bone healing and fusion during orthopedic and spine procedures.
The Production Technician will primarily support the washroom and sterilization operations by cleaning production equipment, preparing materials, operating autoclave equipment, and maintaining a clean and compliant manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean, wash, and sanitize production equipment, containers, trays, pans, and manufacturing tools according to established procedures.
- Prepare equipment and materials for sterilization and future production use.
- Operate autoclave sterilization equipment while following SOPs and manufacturing instructions.
- Load and unload materials into autoclaves and ensure proper sterilization cycles are completed.
- Monitor autoclave cycle parameters and accurately document results.
- Maintain detailed manufacturing records, including batch documentation and sterilization logs.
- Support contamination control practices within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following safety and hygiene requirements.
- Handle and move production materials, containers, and supplies throughout the facility.
- Follow all company policies, FDA regulations, quality standards, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, sanitation, or controlled environment preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed written procedures, SOPs, and manufacturing instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to complete documentation accurately and consistently.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment with repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
