Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
About the Role
Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Integration Technician to join their team in Palo Alto, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating various flight components and assemblies using standard and specialized tools and processes.
Responsibilities
%CF; Mechanical assembly and test of communications satellites and ground support equipment
%CF; Assembly & installation of active & passive “flight” components per engineering drawings, specifications & procedures — structural parts & assemblies, RF waveguides, electronic boxes, coax cables, harnesses, antennas & thermal blankets
%CF; Maintain paperwork — ASIs, rework shop orders, component installation logs, mate/demate logs, task logs
%CF; Spacecraft handling
%CF; Assembly & checkout of ground support equipment
%CF; Knowledge of test equipment set up and support
Requirements
%CF; 2–5 years related experience
%CF; A&P license or 2 years of college or trade school within the same field preferred
%CF; Ability to interpret engineering assembly drawings and work to procedures, standards, and shop orders
%CF; Ability to perform spacecraft integration tasks in a clean room environment; operate cranes, man lifts, tugs, and handling equipment
%CF; Strength & flexibility to work on ladders, platforms, and man-lifts up to 18 feet high while in confined spaces such as S/C interiors, thermal vacuum, and acoustic chambers
%CF; Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
%CF; Willingness to become certified in ESD Awareness, Contamination Control, Flight Hardware Handling, DC Connector Mate/Demate, Adhesive Bonding, Thermal Compound Bonding, and Component Torquing
%CF; Some shift work and overtime required
