Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract educator role supporting young learners near the beautiful Lake Zurich area for the upcoming academic year. This onsite position spans August 17 through May 27, 2027, and offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully in an intermediate school environment. Several openings are available: two positions teach 5th Grade Dual Math/Science, one supports 5th Grade Dual SS/ELA, and another covers 6th Grade Dual Math/Science. Additionally, there’s a role dedicated to K-2nd English Second Language instruction, focusing on the needs of Pre-K students.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate subject endorsements.
- Background in curriculum design, instructional planning, and classroom management.
- Effective communicator, both in writing and speaking, with a collaborative mindset.
- Particular endorsements or specialization in Math, Science, Social Studies, English Language Arts, or ESL (please specify).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction to match grade-level needs.
- Adapt strategies to accommodate English language learners, especially in early grades.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, assessments, and instructional activities.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and ongoing communication with families and team members.
- Uphold all school policies and educational regulations while onsite.
