Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current and valid SLP license in the state of Tennessee (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFY candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Experience in school-based settings or with pediatric populations highly valued
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and related documentation
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, communication, and language disorders
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Document progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with district and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members to integrate therapy into students’ educational programs
  • Offer guidance and resources to staff and families for supporting students’ ongoing development
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to school-based initiatives focused on student success
