School Occupational Therapist - Sunnyvale, California

This contract opportunity spans two consecutive maternity leaves: the first runs from August through January and the second from January through June. With a manageable caseload and a positive environment, this role allows you to collaborate with dedicated educational teams and help students reach their potential every day.

Requirements and Desired Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure in California
• Previous experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy
• Ability to work effectively with elementary age children
• Comfort and adaptability supporting students with diverse special education eligibilities, including autism, speech or language impairment, health or visual impairments, and specific learning disabilities
• Strong communication, organizational, and consultative skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct OT services to a caseload of approximately 32 elementary students
• Deliver additional consultative support to 3 students
• Address a range of support needs—including both moderate/severe and mild/moderate requirements
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Utilize assessments, data, and documentation to track student progress and outcomes
• Support students with unique and diverse learning needs, primarily serving those with Autism and other eligibility categories
