Job Description
Take your expertise as a School Psychologist into a dynamic educational environment supporting students for the full academic year. In this contract position, you'll engage with a diverse student population, collaborating with faculty and families to foster academic and social-emotional growth. This role offers a flexible, hybrid schedule—work onsite for five half days or two full days plus one half day weekly, and enjoy the benefit of one day working remotely.
As a key contributor to student success, you'll conduct assessments, provide consultations, and develop intervention plans. Your skills will help create an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere while advocating for the needs of every learner.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Current license and credentials as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and legal compliance in educational settings
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with designing and implementing interventions to support student learning and well-being
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students’ cognitive, academic, and behavioral strengths and needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert input for individualized program development
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to recommend strategies supporting students’ academic and emotional growth
- Provide direct or indirect interventions as needed, including counseling or supporting positive behavioral plans
- Maintain clear, thorough documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
This position offers a competitive pay rate between $45 and $55 per hour, with the added benefit of a flexible, hybrid work arrangement to help you maintain balance throughout the school year.
