Job Description
Step into a dynamic in-person role as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant supporting K-12 learners in a school-based setting near Burleson, TX. This full-time, contract opportunity spans the academic year from August 10, 2026, through May 21, 2027, and offers the chance to make a rewarding impact in a single assigned school with a caseload of approximately 60-65 students.
You'll collaborate with certified speech therapists and educational teams to provide direct intervention, deliver supportive therapy services, and help students achieve their communication goals. The work is hands-on—this opportunity is for on-site professionals only and is not open to virtual appointments.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license required
- Experience or strong interest in serving the K-12 population
- Bilingual Spanish/English candidates are preferred
- Must complete or verify fingerprints with TEA—results may take up to 10 business days
Primary Responsibilities:
- Carry out speech and language therapy activities as planned by supervising SLPs
- Track student progress with detailed notes and periodic reports
- Engage students in one-on-one and small group interventions
- Communicate with families and staff to update on student progress
- Support inclusive practices and foster positive communication environments
