Hospitalist - Nampa, ID

Our organization is a physician-led multispecialty group with over 650 providers, presenting an exciting opportunity for a full-time Hospitalist to join our team in Nampa, Idaho. This group is part of a regional network that includes 32 physicians and 12 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) based in Boise. The Nampa Hospitalist team, consisting of 11 providers, oversees a high-acuity medical service at a community hospital with 106 beds (set to expand to 224 beds). The facility is recognized as a Level III Trauma Center and holds Time Sensitive Emergency classifications for Stroke, Cardiology, and Trauma. Hospitalists serve as the primary admitting service for most primary care providers within our network. The work schedule typically involves 152 shifts annually, generally structured as 7-on/7-off with 12-hour shifts.

The patient demographic is composed of approximately 40% adults and 60% geriatric individuals. Hospitalists manage a variety of conditions, including CHF, pneumonia, COPD, pancreatitis, strokes, neurological disorders, geriatric fractures, and other general medical issues. On average, rounding includes around 18 patient encounters each day.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in internal medicine or family medicine, complemented by Hospitalist training, and a keen interest in developing a practice within a growing multispecialty medical group. Additionally, Hospitalists will have the opportunity to engage in teaching residents.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program, with Hospitalist training also considered.
• Board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM), or the ability to obtain such certification within three years of employment.
• Capability to secure medical licensure in Idaho and Oregon, along with valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Boards of Pharmacy and DEA; privileges at the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) must also be granted.
