Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Washington state.
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills to partner effectively with teachers, staff, and families.
- Commitment to in-person services (no remote or hybrid options available).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students to determine their functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans.
- Provide direct physical therapy services for a caseload of 35–40 students, adapting techniques to each student’s unique needs and goals.
- Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and parents to support students’ integrate into classroom and school activities.
- Document all services, progress and evaluations in accordance with school and state regulations.
- Support IEP meeting participation and development as a therapy team member.
- Offer guidance and resources to teachers and staff on strategies to encourage student participation and mobility.
Position Details:
- Part-time: 7.5 hours per week, fitting well into an existing schedule or other part-time roles.
