School Psychologist in Metairie, LA

Embark on a rewarding contract position as a School Psychologist, making a meaningful impact in a supportive K-12 school setting in the New Orleans area. This full-time onsite opportunity starts as soon as possible and runs through May 27, 2027, following the district's academic calendar. You’ll work Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day, providing essential psychological services, guidance, and support to students, collaborating closely with educational teams and families.

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education School Psychologist certification (required)
• Ability to complete fingerprinting and drug screening according to district and compliance standards
• Previous experience as a School Psychologist in K-12 settings preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students across grade levels
• Develop and monitor appropriate intervention strategies and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support student learning and mental health
• Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and recommendations for behavioral support
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements
