Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting elementary and middle school students in both self-contained and resource classrooms. This onsite position begins August 3, 2026, with students joining on August 17 and continues through May 28, 2027. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you'll make a tangible impact on developing young learners while working in a collaborative, supportive school environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy services
  • Comfortable working with elementary and middle-school aged children
  • Knowledge of sensory integration, fine motor development, and adaptive strategies
  • Skilled at collaborating with other educators, therapists, and families
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted OT interventions for students in self-contained and resource settings
  • Conduct evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
  • Work closely with teachers, special educators, and support staff
  • Document progress and participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Utilize a variety of equipment and testing materials provided onsite
  • Engage in ongoing process improvement and best-practice sharing
