Job Description
Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting elementary and middle school students in both self-contained and resource classrooms. This onsite position begins August 3, 2026, with students joining on August 17 and continues through May 28, 2027. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you'll make a tangible impact on developing young learners while working in a collaborative, supportive school environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
- Experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy services
- Comfortable working with elementary and middle-school aged children
- Knowledge of sensory integration, fine motor development, and adaptive strategies
- Skilled at collaborating with other educators, therapists, and families
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted OT interventions for students in self-contained and resource settings
- Conduct evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
- Work closely with teachers, special educators, and support staff
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Utilize a variety of equipment and testing materials provided onsite
- Engage in ongoing process improvement and best-practice sharing
