Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a vibrant educational environment starting August 10, 2026, and concluding May 28, 2027. This role serves a diverse group of learners across pre-K through post-secondary (grade 13) levels, working within 25 different buildings and overseeing a manageable caseload of 48 students (30 Teacher of Record, 18 Teacher of Service).

Your expertise will make a meaningful difference, particularly focusing on IEP development and case management, assistive technology integration, and diligent progress monitoring. The engagement primarily involves consultative or monthly services for most students, creating a schedule conducive to impactful, individualized support.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Licensed Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Strong background in special education service models
  • Experience in IEP case management and development
  • Familiarity with assistive technology for auditory access
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Adaptable to varying schedules and settings within a multi-building district

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative services per student IEPs as detailed (ranging from once per month to multiple times per week)
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations
  • Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers
  • Deliver comprehensive support for assistive technology, ensuring student access and skill development
  • Track and communicate student progress through regular documentation and reports
