Here's an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) ready to make a difference in a dynamic school environment. This full-time, full-school-year contract position offers the chance to support students with mild to severe needs across multiple sites in a supportive district near Red Rock, AZ. As an itinerant COTA, you’ll play a key role in delivering therapy services and promoting student independence within educational settings.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current, active COTA license required
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to support students with a range of needs, from mild to severe
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Card (or ability to obtain)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptable, organized, and confident working across multiple schools
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as determined by IEPs
- Collaborate with supervising Occupational Therapist, educators, and families to support student development
- Collect, maintain, and report student progress data
- Adapt activities to meet individualized instructional goals across multiple school sites
- Travel between assigned schools to deliver consistent therapy and documentation
- Participate in meetings and contribute to IEP development for assigned students
