Qualifications:

  • Valid California licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Adaptability to meet diverse student needs and adjust to varying caseloads

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students, focusing on developing key skills for classroom and daily living success
  • Assess students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
  • Participate in and contribute to IEP meetings, offering input and recommendations for student supports
  • Document progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate updates with educators and families
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement strategies that foster inclusive classroom participation
  • Provide education and training to staff and parents regarding best practices in occupational therapy interventions
