Qualifications:
- Valid California licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Adaptability to meet diverse student needs and adjust to varying caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students, focusing on developing key skills for classroom and daily living success
- Assess students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
- Participate in and contribute to IEP meetings, offering input and recommendations for student supports
- Document progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate updates with educators and families
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement strategies that foster inclusive classroom participation
- Provide education and training to staff and parents regarding best practices in occupational therapy interventions
