\nOur employees build the toughest scales in the industry. The CNC Programmer will work closely with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering and outside vendors. This individual will create robust CNC programs utilizing the most efficient methods and tooling while keeping safety and lean concepts in mind. The Programmer will also meet with tool vendors regularly to keep apprised of the latest machining techniques and tooling. Tooling evaluations will be conducted with special attention to ROI, and partner with others to reduce costs using lean manufacturing methods. They will also participate in CAP-X projects for new equipment and will be the Subject Matter Expert on setup/operation of this new equipment. This individual will mentor operators and setup operators on the new equipment.\n

\nResponsibilities include:\n
\n
\nDocumentation of tooling and set up sheets in Company systems\n
\nProvide robust CNC programs using latest machining techniques and proper tooling for mills and lathes\n
\nDevelop fixture design and processes for production parts\n
\nWork closely with other departments to ensure we leverage Design For Excellence (DFX) principles and skills\n
\nConsistent communication with peers in manufacturing and management department meetings\n
\nWill demonstrate the ability to accurately use and interpret inspection equipment used in machining\n
\nSupport verification and validation activities in the manufacturing environment\n
\nWork in a manner in which quality of work and safety while performing work are top priorities. Keep work area organized and as clean as possible while working\n
\nDemonstrates a thorough understanding of blueprints and tolerances that relate to assigned tasks\n
\nIdentify opportunities/solutions to reduce or eliminate waste in areas where you work\n
\nLearning through on-the-job training.\n
\nUpdating data management software information\n
\nMaintaining manufacturing floor presence (60% office, 40% production floor)\n
\n
\nEducation and Experience\n
\n
\nTwo (2) or more years in CNC operation\n
\nTwo (2) or more years of CNC setup experience\n
\nPreference will be given to those with CNC set up experience\n
\nSuccessfully complete training on current offline programming software (MasterCam)\n
\nHigh School Diploma\n
\n
\nSkills and Abilities\n
\n
\nExcellent SolidWorks skills including the ability the successfully complete training on RLWS solid modeling software\n
\nWorking knowledge of the practices, materials, methods, and tools of the machining trade\n
\nWorking knowledge of the hazards and safety precaution of the trade, and of the properties of ferrous and non-ferrous metals\n
\nStrong analytical and documentation skills\n
\nStrong personal computer skills including MS Office\n
\nStrong organizational skills and detail orientated\n
\nAbility to understand and follow oral and written instructions\n
\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n
\nSelf-starter and driven\n
\nAbility to mentor and share knowledge with operators and setup/operators\n
\n

\nThis position requires on-site presence at our Corporate Headquarters in Rice Lake, Wisconsin; telecommuting is not available. This position will also require short duration travel expectations for training, trade shows and supporting satellite facilities.\n
