Job Description
Step into an engaging contract opportunity supporting students’ communication development in a dynamic school setting! Multiple positions are available for Speech-Language Pathologists to provide services for three distinct schools—a preschool, a middle school, and an elementary—in the San Juan Capistrano area. Assignments align with leave of absence coverage for the 2026-2027 school year, with a strong likelihood of ongoing opportunities. As part of a collaborative educational community, you’ll positively impact students’ progress as you oversee manageable caseloads of approximately 55 students for each SLP.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active California SLP licensure required
- Recent school-based or pediatric SLP experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to various student needs across age groups (preschool, elementary, and middle school)
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, encouraging learning environments
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment and therapy services in person, supporting students’ individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations
- Maintain records and progress documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and support staff
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
- Adapt therapy methods to meet diverse needs within your assigned caseload
