Job Description
- School-based Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Full-time position for the 2026–2027 school year
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations and direct services to students with a variety of physical, developmental, sensory, and fine motor needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Support students in improving functional skills necessary for academic success, independence, and participation in the school environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers to develop effective intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
- Caseload will be determined based on district needs and student populations.
- Ages served: Pre-K through 12th Grade
- Additional details regarding school assignment and caseload will be provided during the interview process.
Requirements
- Active Michigan Occupational Therapist License (or eligibility to obtain prior to the start date)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- NBCOT certification preferred
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Knowledge of IEP development and special education processes is a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Interview Process
- 10–15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy recruiter
- 20–30 minute virtual interview with the partnering school district
- Offers are typically extended within 24–48 hours following the district interview
