Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide essential outpatient pharmacy support across two locations in Colorado, serving as a key resource to ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing. This role involves working between Peoria and Wheat Ridge pharmacies, offering a dynamic and engaging professional environment within a 13+ week contract to hire opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Identify and resolve drug interactions and conduct thorough drug utilization reviews.
- Dispense controlled substances in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage medication stocking and maintain pharmacy inventory levels.
- Respond promptly to incoming phone calls and support point-of-sale transactions.
- Counsel patients effectively on medication use, side effects, and safety precautions.
- Perform additional pharmacy duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Colorado State Board of Pharmacy.
- Minimum of one year experience in outpatient or retail pharmacy settings.
- Experience with Epic Willow pharmacy software is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong patient counseling skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel between the Peoria and Wheat Ridge locations as required.
Schedule:
- Flexibility to work across both outpatient pharmacy locations with scheduling to be coordinated accordingly.
