Job Description
Step into a dynamic role supporting students as a PRN Occupational Therapist in a vibrant educational setting. You will play a crucial part in fostering student success, blending your expertise across a variety of occupational therapy environments including schools, home health, traditional healthcare, and teletherapy.
Desired Experience & Skills:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license
- Experience in school-based OT preferred
- Background in home health and healthcare OT environments is a plus
- Proficiency or familiarity with teletherapy platforms
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with children and adolescents
- Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to both group and individual sessions
- Organizational skills to coordinate a multifaceted caseload
What You'll Do:
- Deliver OT services in small group settings: work with students 15 times per year for 30-minute sessions, and 20 times per year for 30-minute sessions
- Provide consultative OT support: meet individually and in groups 1 time per month for 30-minute sessions, and 5 times per year for 10-minute consults
- Offer individualized therapy to students 15 times annually, focusing on targeted therapeutic goals
- Document progress, assess ongoing needs, and coordinate with school staff to ensure consistent support strategies
- Employ varied intervention models—ranging from in-person to teletherapy—to meet students’ unique requirements
- Participate in collaborative meetings, contribute insights, and adjust interventions as needed for optimal student development
