Position Summary
Responsible for operating bonding equipment and performing precision manufacturing processes to bond engineered materials in accordance with work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules. Ensures products meet customer specifications while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Set up, operate, and monitor bonding equipment used in the manufacturing of engineered materials and composite products.
- Prepare materials for bonding by cleaning, inspecting, and positioning components according to work instructions.
- Apply adhesives, films, or bonding agents using established manufacturing procedures.
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, process sheets, and manufacturing specifications.
- Inspect bonded products for quality, alignment, and dimensional accuracy using measuring tools and visual inspection techniques.
- Adjust machine settings and process parameters to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Record production data, quality inspections, and material usage in manufacturing systems.
- Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Identify product defects or process issues and communicate them to supervisors or quality personnel.
- Follow Lean manufacturing principles and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with additional manufacturing and production duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred; bonding, laminating, or converting experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical documentation.
- Experience using hand tools, measuring instruments, and production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify quality defects.
- Basic computer skills for production reporting and data entry.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
