Key Qualifications:

• Valid Alabama Teacher’s Certification with English endorsement (Bachelor’s degree or higher required)
• Solid background in general education and ELA instruction at the secondary level
• Ability to foster a classroom atmosphere that promotes learning, curiosity, and positive relationships
• Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, staff, and community members
• Skilled in integrating technology to enhance student motivation and prepare learners for the modern world

Primary Responsibilities:

• Create a welcoming classroom setting where students feel encouraged to explore and achieve
• Establish effective rapport to inspire and motivate students
• Guide students in developing key knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for academic success
• Integrate digital tools and resources to prepare students for 21st-century challenges
• Build lasting positive connections with students, parents, colleagues, and school visitors
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by school administration to support the educational mission

• Onsite, secondary-level ELA (English Language Arts) focus
• 37.5 hours per week from August 11, 2026, through May 27, 2027
