Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a resource room setting. This assignment offers full-time hours and a balanced caseload, perfect for an educator committed to empowering learners with diverse needs.

Your days will run Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week from November 1st to December 22nd. You'll play a critical role during a maternity leave period, collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistency and growth for your students.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification for elementary level
  • Demonstrated classroom experience working with students with IEPs
  • Familiarity with resource room models
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Passion for differentiated instruction and inclusive practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted instruction and interventions in a resource room environment
  • Adapt general education curricula to support each learner’s individual educational plan
  • Document student progress towards IEP goals and collaborate with other specialists
  • Engage with parents and teachers to maintain alignment around each child’s progress
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that builds confidence and skills
