Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly in junior high settings
- Prior knowledge and facilitation of ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings required
- Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, faculty, and families
- Ability to organize, set priorities, and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the ARD Facilitator for a junior high caseload, ensuring compliance with all procedural safeguards and documentation requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, parents, and administrators to conduct effective ARD meetings
- Create and monitor IEPs to address students’ unique educational needs while promoting academic achievement
- Track progress and ensure timely reporting according to state and district protocols
- Provide instructional support, accommodations, and modifications as outlined in IEPs
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
