School Occupational Therapist - Irving, Texas

Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with relevant credentials
• Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
• Familiarity with ESPED (IEP System) strongly desired
• Strong supervision and evaluation skills
• Ability to effectively collaborate with COTAs and other education professionals
• Excellent organizational skills with comfort maintaining accurate weekly timelogs
• District-wide flexibility; willingness to support multiple schools

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
• Complete evaluations and re-evaluations
• Supervise and mentor certified occupational therapy assistants (COTAs)
• Maintain detailed and accurate records, including weekly timelogs for Director approval
• Collaborate with educators, families, and team members to develop and implement student support strategies
• Ensure adherence to legal, ethical, and professional standards in all documentation and interactions
• Travel within district schools as needed
