Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Knowledge of IEP processes and instructional accommodations/modifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the needs of students with disabilities
- Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to deliver inclusive education
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school, district, and state requirements
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and motivating classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with students’ families regarding progress and support strategies
