Our client is a well-established nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families throughout Georgia. They are seeking an experienced Senior Grants & Compliance Accountant to join their Finance team and play a key role in the financial management and oversight of a diverse grant portfolio.

This highly visible position reports directly to the VP of Finance and partners with leaders across the organization to support financial reporting, compliance, and strategic initiatives. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and long-term organizational success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the financial administration of federal, state, and private grants
  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements and applicable regulations
  • Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
  • Support annual audits and compliance reviews
  • Monitor grant budgets and funding activity
  • Partner with program leaders and internal stakeholders on financial matters
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Assist with financial planning, forecasting, and reporting initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including nonprofit grant accounting
  • Strong knowledge of grant compliance and financial reporting
  • Experience with federal grants and regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles
  • Experience supporting audits and compliance processes
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP or nonprofit accounting systems
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
