The Salisbury VA Healthcare System is seeking a dedicated full-time (Nocturnist) Staff Physician in Salisbury NC. Join our team! All staff physicians at our hospitalist section work collaboratively within Medicine Service and with other departments to support our organization’s mission and goals.
\nKey Responsibilities:

- Provide quality, patient-centered care for adult inpatients \n
- Collaborate with other providers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver and improve patient care \n
- Supervise and support physician assistants and nurse practitioners \n
- Participate in hospital committees and programs to enhance patient services \n
- Complete timely documentation and ensure high standards of care \n
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows (if assigned teaching roles) \n
- Support and engage in clinical research (if applicable) \n

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
\nSalary: $220,000-$315,000
\nPaid Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and TSP with up to 5% in contributions by V.A.
Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State or territory
CME: Possible $2,500 per year reimbursement
Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting
Work Schedule: Full time, night shift (7pm-7am). 7 days on, 7 days off

Requirements
\nU.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
\nEducation: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
\nLicensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
\nResidency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty.
\nBoard Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board eligible.
