Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential (mild/moderate, moderate/severe, or appropriate specialization)
  • Experience teaching students with a range of disabilities and educational needs
  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Commitment to inclusive practices and student growth
  • Previous experience in SDC or RSP settings highly valued

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Design and deliver differentiated instruction to meet individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Foster a safe, welcoming, and structured classroom environment
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Monitor and document student progress with care and accuracy
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights
  • Advocate for student needs while implementing evidence-based strategies
