Job Description
Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting 4th grade students as a Special Education Teacher in a part-time, contract role for the 26/27 school year. Located near Atlanta, GA, this position focuses on English Language Arts and math instruction within a co-taught classroom setting, ensuring a collaborative educational experience.
As the Special Education Teacher, you'll work mornings from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, leveraging your expertise to foster an inclusive, engaging learning environment. Your dedication will empower students to reach their full potential, making a tangible impact through tailored instruction and teamwork.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Prior experience with upper elementary grades, especially 4th grade (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of ELA and math instruction for diverse learners
- Familiarity with co-teaching models and collaborative planning
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in ELA and math to 4th grade students
- Collaborate with general education teachers in a co-taught classroom
- Develop and implement IEPs, accommodations, and modifications
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports student growth
