Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Front Royal, VA
Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in the Winchester, VA area. This full-time assignment runs from late July 2026 through late May 2027, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the school year while working collaboratively within a dedicated educational community.
Successful candidates will partner with administrators, teachers, other SLPs, and families to deliver high-quality therapy, assessments, and IEP support. You’ll use your clinical expertise and creativity to help students reach their fullest potential in communication, language, articulation, and social skills.
Preferred Experience & Credentials:
- Current Virginia SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience in school settings or working with pediatric populations
- Familiarity with IEP development, therapy records, and progress reporting
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to a diverse caseload of students
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and screenings
- Participate in and support IEP meetings and documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop student-centered therapy goals
- Maintain accurate therapy notes and timely progress reports according to district guidelines
- Provide consultative services and resources to school staff as needed
This contract role is scheduled for 37.5 hours each week, ensuring a consistent presence to build rapport and track measurable student progress throughout the academic year.
