Audit Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join a growing public accounting firm. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with firm leadership, manage client engagements, mentor and develop staff, and contribute to the continued growth of the practice. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong technical expertise in audit and assurance, exceptional client service skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage financial statement audit and assurance engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships.

Work closely with firm leadership to support business growth and deliver exceptional client service.

Plan, supervise, and review audit engagements while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Mentor, coach, and develop audit staff by providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.

Review financial statements, workpapers, and audit documentation to ensure compliance with professional standards.

Identify risks, evaluate internal controls, and recommend practical business solutions.

Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

Stay current with accounting, auditing, and regulatory standards to ensure compliance and technical excellence.

Foster collaboration across engagement teams while promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree or other advanced degree preferred.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.

Minimum 5 years of Audit & Assurance (A&A) experience within a public accounting environment.

At least 5 years of experience providing financial statement auditing services.

Experience serving private equity clients.

Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience, including mentoring, coaching, and developing audit professionals.

Strong knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting, and accounting principles.

Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and audit/accounting software.
