A dynamic school district in the Winchester, VA area seeks an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their dedicated team on a full-time contract basis. Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid VA SLP license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) strongly preferred
- Previous school-based SLP experience is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively across multiple school sites as needed
- Comfortable engaging with a diverse student population
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for eligible students
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Collect and maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Contribute to IEP meetings and student evaluations
- Provide consultative support to classroom teachers as needed
