\nSummary:\n
\n
\nThe Safety Specialist is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs across the organization. This role provides technical expertise, conducts risk assessments, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements to promote a safe work environment. The Safety Specialist collaborates with site leadership and employees to drive safety initiatives, reduce workplace incidents, and build a strong safety culture. Key responsibilities include training, inspections, incident investigations, and reporting, with a focus on tactical execution and consistent application of company safety standards across all operations.\n
\n
\nPrimary Responsibilities:\n
\n
\nServe as designated safety representative for all project within assigned region, coordinating and implementing all areas of the Company safety programs.\n
\n
\nConduct training and coach teammates on work habits in support of this effort.\n
\n
\nSupport management’s efforts to ensure compliance with corporate Safety Program expectations and applicable federal and state law.\n
\n
\nConduct site safety audit and inspection programs, maintaining accurate records of such audits, implementing recommendations for corrective or preventive measures when gaps or non-compliance items are discovered, and following up to ensure measures have been implemented.\n
\n
\nIdentify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks and improvement opportunities through daily, weekly and monthly audits.\n
\n
\nFacilitate incident investigation process.\n
\n
\nMaintain accurate daily, weekly and monthly\n
\n
\nTrain and assist others in completing their Safety responsibilities\n
\n
\nJob Qualifications and Skills:\n
\n
\nValid Driver’s License with a good driving record\n
\n
\nAbility to pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug screen required as a condition of employment\n
\n
\nAssociate’s degree or higher, and/or industry certifications preferred.\n
\n
\n4-6 years of gas leak or relevant experience.\n
\n
\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications.\n
\n
\nExtensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management principles. (Must have OSHA30)\n
\n
\nMust have demonstrated knowledge of safety regulations, accident/injury prevention, and project management.\n
\n
\nMust have safety experience with Utilities, Construction or similar industry.\n
\n
\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:\n
\n
\nProficient in using current technology such as smartphones, tablets, Microsoft Office, and more.\n
\n
\nAbility to effectively communicate with Hydromax USA employees, clients, and the public in an articulate, professional manner.\n
\n
\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\n
\n
\nAdvanced written and verbal communication skills.\n
\n
\nStrong attention to detail.\n
\n
\nAbility to lead, motivate and provide direction.\n
\n
\nDemonstrated ability to prioritize and organize a variety of tasks.\n
\n
\nAbility to travel frequently to various project sites (approximately 25% -50% per month)\n
\n
