Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity offers a 13-week contract for a pharmacist to work in a specialized long-term care and mail order pharmacy environment. The role involves providing expert pharmaceutical care while ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards in medication dispensing and consultation. The schedule includes Wednesday through Sunday from 2pm to 6pm, and Monday to Tuesday from 9am to 7:30pm, supporting critical patient care through flexible shifts.

Schedule:
- Wednesday–Sunday: 2pm - 6pm
- Monday–Tuesday: 9am - 7:30pm
Duration: 13 weeks contract
- Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor patient medication compliance and detect patterns of overuse.
- Ensure medicine supplies comply with legal regulations.
- Verify medications prescribed to patients are appropriate and safe.
- Maintain confidential and accurate patient and pharmacy records.
- Provide counseling to patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer their questions.
- Offer consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications including dosage, storage, and drug interactions.
- Deliver additional patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management.
- Educate patients on proper use and handling of medical devices like glucose meters and blood pressure monitors.
- Compound medications, including sterile preparations, following established protocols.
- Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage pharmaceutical and medical inventory effectively.
- Identify drug-related problems and collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve issues.
- Pharmacy experience in Long Term Care, Mail Order, or Retail settings.
- Valid Washington State Pharmacist license.
