Occupational Therapist School Setting in Burnsville, MN

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students’ progress and well-being as an Occupational Therapist. This role involves engaging with two schools, each serving fewer than 15 students, focusing on individualized education plan (IEP) support. You will provide essential therapy services 2 days per week at each school, located near Burnsville and within St. Paul, with the possibility of an additional half day dedicated to meetings and documentation. The weekly schedule ranges from 35-40 hours, allowing for a structured yet flexible working environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Minnesota
• Prior experience working in school-based, home health, or healthcare settings
• Skilled in teletherapy service delivery
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to students’ IEP goals at both school sites
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, adapting activities to meet diverse student needs
• Participate in multi-disciplinary teams, attending meetings as required to support student development
• Complete timely and accurate assessments, progress notes, and related paperwork
• Liaise with educators, families, and administrators to promote student engagement and success
