Make a meaningful impact supporting K-8 students at an Autism Center as a contracted School Psychologist. This flexible, part-time role involves 20 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours depending on program needs. Ideal for professionals seeking to contribute both on-site and virtually, you can be present for testing and evaluations once a week, and complete the remainder of your duties remotely.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid and current School Psychologist certification/licensure
- Prior experience with K-8 or elementary/middle school populations
- Familiarity with assessments, testing, and evaluations, especially for students on the autism spectrum
- Strong counseling skills
- Ability to establish rapport with students, families, and staff
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Comfortable adapting to a hybrid work arrangement (on-site and remote work required)
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations
- Deliver counseling services to students individually and in groups
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to create and monitor student progress plans
- Provide expertise in the development of IEPs and intervention strategies
- Document and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Support and educate staff regarding behavioral and learning challenges specific to students with autism
- Communicate findings and recommendations to families and team members clearly and compassionately
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive environment within the Autism Center
