School Speech Language Pathologist - Newport News, VA

We’re seeking two dedicated professionals to provide services full-time throughout the entire school year.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain prior to start date
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
• Previous experience in a school environment preferred, but not mandatory
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Strong diagnostic and documentation abilities
• Compassion and a genuine commitment to student development

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform assessments and evaluations to determine students’ speech, language, and communication needs
• Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique strengths and challenges
• Deliver evidence-based therapy and interventions within individual and group settings
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams to maximize student progress
• Monitor, document, and report on student achievements and goals
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insight into student support plans
• Educate and empower caregivers and staff to reinforce language and communication objectives
• Stay up to date on best practices and maintain appropriate licensure
