Job Summary

A downtown Orlando law firm is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to support a busy defense litigation practice group. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys working in a collaborative law firm environment and providing high-level administrative and litigation support to attorneys.

The Litigation Legal Assistant will play an important role in keeping case files, calendars, legal documents, billing tasks, and client communications organized and moving forward. Key Responsibilities

- Organize and maintain physical and electronic litigation files, records, client documents, and case materials.
- Open new matters, complete conflict checks, close files according to procedure, and update database records as information changes.
- Type, proofread, edit, and format legal documents from dictation, handwritten notes, and attorney direction.
- Manage attorney calendars, contact lists, file listings, meeting scheduling, and conference room coordination.
- Support the client billing process, including entering attorney time, editing bills, tracking billing deadlines, and sending invoices electronically and in paper form.
- Answer, initiate, and direct phone calls while maintaining professional client communication and strong working relationships.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $65,000 to $72,000 per year.
