Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners in a self-contained K-1 special education classroom. You’ll guide a small group of kindergarten and first-grade students with developmental delays, working alongside two dedicated paraprofessionals to provide a nurturing, structured learning environment.

As the lead educator, you will play a key role in shaping daily instruction, supporting both general and adapted curriculum needs. Your expertise will help address a range of academic and behavioral needs, encompassing Reading, Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations for each student
• Deliver differentiated, individualized instruction across multiple content areas
• Apply positive behavior supports and interventions tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with related service providers, administrators, support staff, and families
• Track student progress and ensure compliance with all reporting and documentation requirements
• Foster a safe, encouraging, and organized classroom environment

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Georgia Special Education Adapted Curriculum Certification
• Certification in all major academic content areas (Reading, Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies)
• Proven ability to write and carry out IEPs
• Experienced with behavior intervention strategies and effective classroom management
• Minimum of three professional references, including one recent supervisor (principal, AP, Coordinator)
