This full-time, contract position runs from August 2026 to June 2027, offering the chance to make a real difference during the academic year. Working weekdays from 8:15 AM to 4:15 PM, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the culture of care and support for both students and staff.
Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Social Work
- Valid LSW or LCSW license
- Previous school-based experience is essential
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
- Ability to work with diverse student populations (K-8)
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise the Student Support Team, including oversight of counselor caseloads and ensuring compliance with special education requirements
- Champion social, emotional, and behavioral well-being by delivering individual and small-group counseling
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to help students thrive academically and personally
- Collaborate closely with school teams to coordinate Tier III student supports
- Act as the McKinney-Vento liaison, supporting students experiencing homelessness or housing instability
- Build partnerships with local community agencies to maximize student resources
