Exciting New OB Hospitalist Nocturnist Opportunity in Family-Friendly, Saratoga Springs, New York

Salary Range: $300,000 - $350,000
Position SummaryOur organization is actively searching for a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN Hospitalist to become a part of our dedicated team, which includes skilled physician OB/GYNs and Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs). Additionally, our team comprises several outpatient-only CNMs and Nurse Practitioners (NPs).
The Hospitalist will deliver care to a diverse array of hospital-based OB/GYN patients. Our thriving OB program is expanding, with an anticipated 986 deliveries in 2025.
We provide personalized care in both hospital settings and our outpatient women's health facility, which has been fully renovated to enhance patient experience.
Work ScheduleThe expected work schedule will consist of:
- 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM
- Approximately 13 weeknight shifts (Monday to Friday) within a 28-day cycle
- Occasional day shifts may be required as part of the 13 shifts
As a member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing in-hospital obstetrical services in collaboration with CNMs, which encompasses emergency cesarean sections, spontaneous vaginal births, operative vaginal births, patient triage, and rounding on antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients, including performing circumcisions.
- Delivering in-hospital gynecological care, which includes emergency GYN procedures, consultations, and care for admitted patients.
- Responding to patient inquiries from the practice, as well as calls from nursing staff, the Emergency Department, Urgent Care, and other consults.
- Engaging in resident education, particularly with Family Medicine residents.
- Supporting team members, including highly trained RNs and a Board Certified Neonatologist (Director of Newborn Medicine), along with a team of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs). Anesthesia coverage is readily available.
We utilize the EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
