Quality Inspector
Job Description
Overview:
Skills and Experience:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- Verify products meet engineering drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications.
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Identify, document, and report defects or non-conforming materials.
- Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Ensure all products meet quality and safety standards before shipment.
- Follow all workplace safety policies and quality procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills for documenting inspection results.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable attendance and the ability to work in a fast-paced production setting.
- Knowledge of quality control methods and inspection procedures.
- Experience with manufacturing processes and production environments.
- Ability to identify defects and recommend corrective actions.
- Commitment to producing high-quality products while meeting production goals.
