This contract position is ideal for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist who thrives in collaborative school environments and values work-life balance, with a part-time schedule that allows flexibility. In-person participation is preferred, but there is openness to hybrid or virtual arrangements for the right candidate.

You’ll be working closely with a manageable caseload—managing approximately 10 students directly and serving about 20 in total—primarily focusing on speech, communication, and supporting students with autism within a mainstream setting.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist; open to ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) holders and CFY.
  • Experience or strong interest in pediatric populations, particularly within school settings.
  • Solid grasp of IEP processes, documentation, and developing effective communication goals.
  • Background in serving students with autism spectrum disorders is advantageous.
  • Adaptability to serve in-person, hybrid, or virtual environments according to student needs.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families.
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, positive learning experiences for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and provide individualized speech and language therapy for middle school students.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs focused on speech, communication, and social skills.
  • Conduct ongoing progress assessments and maintain clear, timely documentation.
  • Support general education teachers in implementing communication strategies in mainstream classrooms.
  • Engage regularly in collaborative discussions with families and educational teams.
