School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Ellicott City, Maryland

Specialized Skills & Experience Sought:

• Hold a valid Maryland SLP license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) preferred, CFYs considered
• Experience within school settings (elementary, middle, or high school) highly valued
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, faculty, and parents
• Ability to travel between assigned school sites as needed
• Passion for empowering students to develop effective communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify students’ speech, language, or communication needs
• Provide direct therapy in both individual and small group settings according to IEPs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student learning and progress
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and compliance with district guidelines
• Confer with families to guide home carryover of therapy strategies
