Special Education Teacher - New Britain, Connecticut

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (required)
• Experience with elementary-aged students, preferably in specialized or self-contained settings
• Familiarity with ABA methodology is a plus
• Adaptability and strong classroom management skills
• Collaborative spirit and effective communication abilities
• Passion for working with diverse and exceptional learners

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students in grades 3-5
• Utilize data-driven instructional methods tailored to student needs
• Establish a positive classroom climate in self-contained ABA and FLEX rooms
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families
• Foster student independence and achievement through individualized supports
• Maintain comprehensive student records and document progress
